Having been one of the most powerful empires of the world in the beginning of the 20th century, Austria preserves great many cultural property sites of different epochs on its territory since the times of ancient Rome. More than 2 000 years ago the famous Roman Road was going through the snow passover Grossglokner.

St. Stephens Cathedral is a great example of gothic style in Vienna.

Many palaces and cathedrals of Vienna, Salzburg and Graz and other cities are also built in baroque style.

In the central part of Vienna you can also see buildings of modern and postmodern styles.

Among the most famous modern buildings is the building of IAEA.

Austria is famous for numerous theatres that can be found in each city but the most popular theatre of Austria is its Opera House.

During the whole year various festivals are held in all cities and towns of Austria, especially in Salzburg and Vienna.

A lot of museums and house museums of celebrities are placed in Vienna, and Kulturhistorisches Museum and Albertina is one of the most popular among them.
