Public Transport

There are several types of public transport in Vienna:

- Underground (U-Bahn) with five lines (U1, U2, U3, U4, U6);

- City Railroad (S-Bahn), connecting Vienna with suburbs;

- System of bus and tram lines.

Public transport works from 5am till 24.

From 0.30am till 4.30am and with 30 minute interval go night buses, paid by a special tariff.

All passenger tickets are valid in all public transport means of Vienna and are bought in passimeters or ticket windows.

Taxi

It is useless trying to stop a taxi standing by the road with your hand up.
